L.A.: Beat
Doug (the Sheboygan Kid) and I joined Ted and Dick T. for Opening Day on Tuesday. We made a day of it, starting with the traditional pretzels and beer on the pier. Inside the stadium, spirits were high and so were some of the fans, at least in the bleachers. There was lots of good pre-game hoopla, including an MVP presentation to Barry Bonds, a military flyover and Huey Lewis singing the National Anthem (avec News).
It was hot and sunny, I was with my favorite people and not at work. Icing on cake: Giants 4, Dodgers 2. In your face, Jeff Kent.

And arm socks? Very nice. I was at Park Chow yesterday and our waiter guy had 'em.
