Cheerio, mate!
My new favorite thing, to amuse Mark but mostly myself, is to try to work British words and expressions into my everyday conversation. After one disc of "Footballer's Wives," I might even be getting the hang of it. See example below.
Yesterday Ted, Naomi and I headed to Alameda to see if there was any sun shining across the Bay. Ha! Not bloody likely. Isabel, at least, got some serious park time with her friends Kelsa and Sydney.

Emily, your British study is a worthy goal, I'm sure it will bring huge rewards. If you want to talk with a London accent and pick up some truly wacky phrases that even Brits may find hard to place, check out a few of my records, see the url. Perhaps this Mark character has some of my records?

I learned (and then promptly forgot) quite a bit of the stuff from "This Life" a juicy bit of BBC business that BBC-America aired around '00, '01.
