Remember my name

I've been watching Season 1 of "Fame" (the early 80s TV show about the High School for the Performing Arts in New York City), and it's bringing back a lot of memories. Not of all the times I broke into song in English class, or of practicing the cello until my fingers bled, or of seeing an entire cafeteria of students starting a spontaneous, yet synchronized, dance number. My high school experience was not nearly so interesting. But it reminds me of being 11 and watching this show every week with my dad, which is a pretty good memory too.

This entry reminds me of being 10, and having nobody to talk about football or hockey with because my dad was watching a TV show about teenage girls, dancing, and city life for underpriveleged youth.
