Gaviniversary

gaviniversary.jpg

Last night was not just a Steak Club night, we were also celebrating the City Hall marriages, 2 years ago to the day, of James & John and Hunter & Daniel. There were multiple toasts made to Mayor Gavin Newsom, Daniel's cute new hat and this beautiful warm weather --may it last forever.

I raise a glass in absentia to both of the lucky couples! and to Gavin, of course. I will be in SF March 20th and 21st...maybe overlapping with March's meeting??? Then I would be able to raise a glass (and then a couple more glasses) in person.

Wow. Did you jinx that warm weather or what? I was freezing this morning on my walks to and from the bus!

Did you discuss the ongoing issue with Gavin's hair? I saw him at an event last week and thought, "You know, men do, from time to time change their hairstyle? How about giving it a whirl, Gav?"

Nicole, I hear you on Gavin's hair. I see him from time to time in my neighborhood (Russian Hill), and dude ALWAYS has the same hairstyle. Wearing a suit: slicked back. Wearing sweatshirt and gym pants: slicked back. It's unbelievable. The guy must have some sort of helmet that he wears that just LOOKS like hair. Y'know, like Lisa Marie in 'Mars Attacks!'.

Thanks for practically inviting global warming to the party, ET. I'll meet you for lunch behind the reef that my building will soon become once San Francisco returns to the ocean.

Oh, and Gavin's hair totally needs the Queer Eye treatment. Before long, they'll be making the same jokes about him that they do about Donald Trump.
