Basketball in Oakland: more fun than it sounds!

Go team.jpg

When Eva invited me to go to the Golden State Warriors game last night, I laughed out loud. Leave SF, esp. for a sporting event? Then I remembered that I am trying to expand my horizons, so I surprised both of us by going. (I surprised only one of us by bringing a book, just in case.)

No book needed! We had a great time. The Warriors were ahead by 20 points most of the game, so we could concentrate on catching up on work gossip, drinking giant beers, and watching all of the great non-game diversions: hip-hop dancing, a magic show, and free-throw contests. More entertaining, and MUCH warmer, than a typical Giants game, though the Giants win on food, bike parking facilities and, of course, location.

Kyle hasn't said anything yet, but I can tell he's mad that I'm wearing my fake glasses today.

I will break the silence. I am mad that you are wearing your fake glasses today, although you probably needed them to watch the game from that distance.

Need update on you ASAP. xoxo.

You can pretty much assume that when you are wearing your fake glasses, I am mad. Doubly so if you are trying for that "I stayed up too late last night and couldn't deal with contacts" look.
