North by northwest

For the Memorial Day holiday Doug, Nikki and Sydney stocked their refrigerator with Select club soda and invited Ted, Naomi, Isabel, Rick, Michelle, Kelsa and I to visit them in Portland. 10 people would be a tight fit in most people's residences, but in Doug and Nik's 5-bedroom compound, I mean mansion, I mean house, there was room to spare.

It was really fun! As the only non-parent, I got to go to both the girls' night out on Saturday (drinks and dinner) and boys' day out (hiking on Larch Mountain) the next day. Sunday evening's BBQ was all about the kids, when Chad and Tarri brought over Emma and Jack, and Dardn and Steve introduced us to baby Cai.

Wish I could have taken home: giant waterfalls, Nikki's employee discount at the Nike Store, our dear friends.
Happy to leave behind: rainy weather, spaghetti & meatball pizza.
