Thanksgiving in October

BBQed%20Turkey.jpg

Last weekend Ania, Chris G., Ed, Emma, Jen, Leah, Mark, Matt, Michael P., Ted S. and I headed to the cabin for a weekend of pure laziness, crowned by a decadent early Thanksgiving dinner (because some of them are going to be out of the country for the real thing). Jen organized the dinner and cooked most of it, for which we were all very thankful!

Other highlights of the weekend were: four kinds of fried appetizers on the drive up (and no entrees), reading on the deck for hours amongst all the pine, cedar, and hemlock trees, getting an early invitation to cabin New Year's and an unprecedented 2+ hour game of "Hate or Date." The lowlight was the off-brand candy corn that looked like the good stuff, but wasn't. I think we all learned an important lesson from that.
