Gobble gobble

Of all of my family's annual traditions, our Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is my favorite. At least, it's my favorite tradition that starts at 8:30 am. Despite the early hour, we had a large turnout this year of friends, friends' families, and one giant turkey.

One of the Turkey Trot sub-traditions is to declare, at the end, that "this was the best Trot ever." As fun as it was, that sentiment (though said) was hard to be super-enthusiastic about because this was the first year that we did it without co-founders Doug and Nikki. My mom picked up the slack on the beverage service, and Ted did an great job with the race numbers (below), but we all still missed them a lot. Rumors abound of a TT-Portland, but until we see any custom t-shirts, I can't quite believe it really happened.

This year we had the first-ever toddler's trot (aka Gobbler Chase), videoed here. More regular photos here.
